House Music Is A Way Of Life
Born and raised in Chicago, Rene Bustin' house began to DJ in 1987 at the young age of 13 by recording songs from the radio onto cassettes and blending them together on a dual deck tape player for his friends in the neighborhood. Not too long after that, his parents noticed his talent for blending music and decided to buy him his first set of turntables. Chicago House music was still in its infancy at that time. Rene would spend day and night working on his craft, immersing himself in that sound that is known as house music. Radio stations like 102.7 WBMX and
107.5 WGCI would play mixes regularly from legends like Farley Jackmaster Funk, Mike Hitman Wilson, Scott Smokin Silz, and Bad Boy Bill just to name a few. It was those influences
that help shape the sound that we hear in his live sets and radio mixes. You can catch his various internet mixes like the Jam Session series and the Bustin' House Radio Mixcast on sites like Mixcloud. It is the passion not only for the music but also the art of djing itself, that gives Rene that ability to continue to create mixes to keep them moving on the dance floor.
